Day 2 - March to the Sea Day

One can tell it is many states south of New York as the temperatures continues to climb topping off at 81F. Gas prices in North Carolina are basically the same as Virginia ($3.659/gallon). This trip is going to cost as much for gas as last years with less miles traveled.
I learned from visiting Bennett Place that there were numerous surrender sites during the end of the Civil War. It makes sense, I only remember the one at Appomattox Courthouse is all.
I am off to Charleston, South Carolina tomorrow to take a boat tour of Fort Sumter and to visit some sites in that city.
Have a good Friday everyone!
