Day 4 - Jekyll But no Hyde

The temperatures continue to soar as it reached a high of 92F. My body still has not adjusted from the 27F to 92F delta.
Georgia is one of the states that charges for use of a credit card. The $.06 brings the cost of gasoline to $3.599/gallon. By the way state speed limit is 70MPH in Georgia same as North and South Carolina.
Spent most of the day at the Hofwyl-Broadfield plantation. As one can see from the picture of the farmhouse it is not the state of the art residence that one normally pictures of slave Plantation owners residences.
Also visited Jekyll Island but found no evidences of Mr. Hyde though. Upon entering the island one must pay a $5.00 parking fee. This seemed okay to me as one can park wherever they wish.
I am off to see St. Augustine today. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

  1. That doesn't exactly look like my interpretation of a Southern plantation. I was thinking a little more like 'Gone With The Wind' type. :-)
It has warmed up here since you left as well, so maybe you won't have such a shock upon returning. We will talk to you later this evening.
