Seven Mile Bridge - Then and Now

This picture was taken looking East on part of the Knight's Key-Pigeon Key-Moser Channel-Pacet Channel Bridge) which has been been reconstructed as a walkway. The present Seven Mile Bridge (at right) connects Knight's Key (part of the city of Marathon) in the Middle Keys to Little Duck Key in the Lower Keys. As one can see there was not a whole lot of room for vehicles to pass one another on the old Bridge. I for one am happy they decided to build a new one. The current road bridge was completed in 1982.

  2. It doesn't look there would be much room for the 'broke down' lane. Not a good place to daydream while driving, either!
